Hi, I’m Kylie przymus

I’m so glad that you are here looking for support. I know that it can be a scary first step, but I’m proud of you for doing so. My biggest priority as a therapist is to create a space where my clients can come, be their full authentic self without judgment, and find Joy again. I will make sure we go at the pace you feel comfortable with, and that our work together is collaborative. An overall goal I have for my clients is to help them cultivate a life where they feel empowered, are able to validate their feelings, and are able to choose healthy coping mechanisms in hard moments.

One of the things I love most about being a therapist is celebrating all the wins – big and small – with my clients. I started Finding Joy Therapy because I truly believe that you can experience joy even in the midst of challenges. Apart from being a therapist, I love being an auntie, trying new foods, drinking good coffee and traveling to new countries. I’m excited about the prospect of working with you, and would love to be part of your healing journey.

values

Joy

Joy is an important value of my approach because therapy can be hard and it doesn’t always feel good. Joy reminds us that pain and progress can co-exist. Finding joy helps us reconnect with parts of ourselves that feel alive and capable, even in the midst of challenges.

Collaboration

You are the expert on your own life experiences, and my role is to walk alongside you to offer tools, insights, and support. Therapy is most effective when the therapeutic relationship allows you to openly explore what is and isn’t working.

Authenticity

Being authentic is something I value as a therapist. My goal is to create a human to human experience where you can feel comfortable and be your full authentic self.

what brings me joy

I have traveled to 19 countries with Peru being my absolute favorite! I was able to volunteer, teach English & do a 5 day trek to Machu Picchu.

My favorite place to be outside in San Diego is hiking at Torrey Pines. The view never gets old.

I am “Auntie Kylie” to two of the most adorable nephews.

I love to spend my weekend cooking delicious meals with my friends & attempting another sourdough loaf.
